Within 20 minutes drive you can be in North Yorkshire and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Ingleborough Ingleton Waterfalls and White Scar Caves are just over the North Yorkshire border near Ingleton.
Forest Of Bowland
The Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that often loses out to the Lakes and Dales – but should not be as it is a delightful area for keen walkers to explore. Great for those that want the beautiful walks without all the seasonal traffic.
Morecambe Bay
We are only 10 minutes from Morecambe Bay which is surrounded by a wonderful selection of walks; coastal, coppice woodland and low fells, as well as the famous Cross Bay Walks, and the area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of Arnside and Silverdale
Cycling Holidays
The Lancashire Cycleway – passes through the edge of the village of Burton in Kendal and so the Kings Arms makes a great stop off point for those travelling the Lancashire Cycleway. Makes a great stop off point for those travelling the Lancashire Cycleway and attempting events such as Lands End to John O’Groats challenge. We have a secure storage for cycles, and equipment.
